আজকে আমরা একটা disease নিয়ে আলোচনা করবো। Disease টা খুব interesting।
Disease টি হলো “Pathological Lying”।
অনেকের মনে প্রশ্ন আসতে পারে এইটা আবার কি? Lying আবার pathological হয় কীভাবে?
জ্বি, lying ও pathological হতে পারে!
🔷 আগের গবেষণা থেকে দেখা গিয়েছে মানুষ গড়ে ১.৬৫ মিথ্যা বলে। বেশিরভাগ মিথ্যা হলো “white lies”।
📌 But pathological lying is the chronic behavior of compulsive or habitual lying. Unlike telling the occasional white lie to avoid hurting someone’s feelings or getting in trouble, a pathological liar seems to lie for no apparent reason.
মানে হলো, মানুষ কোন দোষ এড়ানোর জন্য বা কোন situation থেকে রক্ষার জন্য মিথ্যা বলে। কিন্তু pathological liar কোন কারণ ছাড়াই মিথ্যা বলে।
🔷 এর অন্য দুটি সুন্দর সুন্দর নাম হলো mythomania and pseudologia fantastica।
⭕ তারা এমন কেন করে?
🔺 এটির কোন সঠিক কারণ এখনো জানা যায়নি। সাধারণত ধারণা করা হয়, তারা নিজেকে সবার সামনে বীর প্রমাণিত করার জন্য বা মানুষের সহানুভূতি অর্জনের জন্য এমন করে।
🔺 Compulsive lying is also a known trait of some personality disorders, such as antisocial personality disorder. Trauma or head injuries may also play a role in pathological lying, along with an abnormality in hormone-cortisol ratio.
🔺 A 2016 study trusted Source of what happens in the brain when you lie found that the more untruths a person tells, the easier and more frequent lying becomes. The results also indicated that self-interest seems to fuel dishonesty.
🚫 তারা কোনটা সত্য বলছে, কোনটা মিথ্যা তা বোঝা কঠিন।তারা মিথ্যা বলতে বলতে তাদের সেটিই সত্য মনে করা আরম্ভ করে। তারা চায় অন্যদের থেকে সবসময় তাদের বীরের চোখে দেখা হোক।
✔ এখন প্রশ্ন, তারা কি পরিবর্তন হতে চায়?
In Ekman’s experience, তারা এটাই মানতে চাই না তারা কোন রোগে ভুগছে। যদি কোর্টের কোন order থাকে, মিথ্যা বলার কারণে কোন সমস্যায় পরার কারণে। তাহলে হয়তোবা treatment নিতে পারে।
❌ Pathological lair চেনা একটু কষ্টসাধ্য।
